Ella & Sienna are an Adelaide, Australia-based pop sister duo who have just come to my attention thanks to their latest single. Teeing up the festive period nicely, it’s called New Year’s Kiss.

What sets Ella & Sienna apart from most pop acts are their ability to tell a story with their music. New Year’s Kiss takes us through a gamut of emotions as its tale unfolds against a backdrop of heart-thumping percussion, thoughtful keys and emotional guitar chords. The star of the show is definitely the vocals though, with the sisters harmonising beautifully in the chorus.

Though new to us, the pair have already received praise from the likes of Rita Ora, and Australia’s ABC Saturday Night Country and Sounds of Oz. I’ll definitely be keeping my ears peeled for more of their music.
