Rendered are a Blackpool-based rock band who have just burst onto my radar thanks to their latest track and video. A love letter to their local football club, it’s called Keep the Dream Alive.

Despite the chosen topic of their latest single, Rendered aren’t, in fact, football fans. The guys describe the choice as one of the “random things” they do. You could definitely be fooled, though. The story brought to life by Keep the Dream Alive and its video is full of heart. It opens suitably enough with a terrace of chanting supporters before launching into a simmering indie rock number that combines cynicism with hope. It’s quite the cocktail.
Rendered are Dale Ball on vocals, guitar, and drums, and Christopher Phelan on lead guitar and bass. The pair share song-writing duties. They met in 2005, and have been performing as Rendered since 2021.
Keep the Dream Alive was recorded at The Brew Room in Blackpool by Dec Naylor and Tyler Larkin who also co-produced with Dale Ball. You can check out its video below.
