Indiana, USA-based artist DataBass has featured a couple of times on this blog before. She first came to our attention in November last year thanks to her beautifully dreamy track Make Our Art. Earlier this year, she was back with a remix of the same track by Strawberry Pixels. Her latest invites us to the world of the unconscious. It’s called Talking To My Dreams.

DataBass is Ball State University student Katie Arndt. She has been producing music since 2014, inspired by the soundtrack of the film Interstellar, scored by Hans Zimmer.
Talking To My Dreams is a wonderfully descriptive track that guides us through the ponderous story of a dream. It was recorded and produced at Katie’s university’s studios with some classmates supporting with the engineering. Their collaborative effort is an atmospheric affair, with twinkling keys and haunting vocals. Katie makes truly beautiful music and this is a fantastic and poetic expansion of her growing discography.
