Surrey-based rock band Dude Safari have featured on this blog a couple of times before, going right back to 2022 when Jane included them in her Grunge Forever round-up. More recently I ran the rule over their debut album YUSSUS and now they’re back on these pages with a brand new single. It’s called High In The Clouds.

Since we last checked in with Dude Safari, they’ve been receiving attention from the likes of Spotify, Apple Music, BBC Radio 1 and Radio X. You may have even heard their music on in the background if you’ve visited a Five Guys restaurant recently.

Their latest single is a timely reminder of why they’re getting so much hype. It opens slow and brooding before hitting a powerful grunge arrangement complete with expressive and soaring vocals. They truly are the masters of elevating the ’90s and ’00s sound for 2023, especially in an anthemic chorus that leaves it all out there.
