Pizza Crunch are a Glasgow-based alternative rock act who have featured on this blog a few times now. First hitting our radar in the summer of 2022, we’ve been keeping a keen eye on their music ever since. Their latest is a philosophical number about the search for meaning. It’s called Advertised Enlightenment.
By Graeme Smith
Advertised Enlightenment is a brooding rock track, opening with a contemplative arrangement before distinctive vocals come in. They deliver poetic and thoughtful lyrics about seeking meaning but never quite being happy with the result. It’s something to which I’m sure we can all relate. Though undoubtedly a Pizza Crunch song, it does mark a bit of a change of sound for the boys from when we last heard them.
Pizza Crunch are Ewan Hearns on guitar and vocals, Nathan Stokoe on guitar, Craig McDermott on bass and Lucas Robertson on drums. Advertised Enlightenment was produced, mixed and mastered by Chris Marshall at Castle of Doom Studios. You can give it a listen below.
