Batman is Juan’s take on the superhero genre, instead imagining the titular hero as a sad human being full of pain and suffering. It’s quite a melancholy theme, and you can really feel the emotion in the piece, which uses an entire orchestra to draw the listener in. During the middle of the piece, the strings swirl around in fantastic fashion, before rising up to a glorious crescendo of sounds, grabbing the listener immediately. This is one of my favourite pieces by Juan so far!
