It’s been a few months since we first discovered indie-folk group Cloudbelly, and now they return with new single, Handfuls.

Handfuls sees the American folk band going in a darker direction – both in terms of the lyrical content and the style of the music. It’s an expansive folk song that starts out slowly with a pretty fingerpicked acoustic guitar melody, slowly raising the music up and building tension at the same time. The strings in the background are really powerful when mixed with the drums and palm-muted guitars, creating something utterly unique.
