Her latest i could be happy is about those things that haunt us. It tells the relatable tale of trauma surfacing, particular in moments that should be enjoyable. The emotion of its story is heightened by an intense, looping acoustic arrangement. Yet, despite its dark subject matter, the track is a song of hope as it ever reaches towards the light at the end of the tunnel.
I should be happy was created in the USA during a ten-day stay at White Star Studios in Virginia with Peri’s band, and producer John Trainum. You can give it a listen below.
