Discovery: Jeremy Aaron

Jeremy Aaron is a Brooklyn, New York, USA-based singer songwriter who has just hit my radar thanks to his whimsical yet meaningful new track The Day the Internet Died.

By Graeme Smith

Picking up a guitar at fifteen, Jeremy started writing songs, inspired by the likes of Talking Heads, Paul Simon and David Bowie. Truly a solo project, he plays all his own instruments, and records and produces his own songs in his bedroom.

As you can probably guess from its title, The Day the Internet Died tells the imagined story of a world waking up to no world wide web. Though delivered with a lightness, channelling ’80s novelty pop influences, it’s a track that makes you stop and think, and reflect on the ever-connected world that we have sleptwalked into.

You can give the track a listen below.
