No Terror In The Bang are a Rouen, France-based progressive and cinematic six-piece who have just come to my attention through their latest track and video. Taken from their new album Heal, it’s called Monster.

The band have been delighting audiences with their mix of heavy riffs and cinematic overtures since 2019, with their previous album Eclosion landing in 2021. I’m glad to have come to them late rather than never and Monster is a wonder of a track. Opening low and heavy, it slowly unfolds with soulful vocals telling a story full of imagery. With some dramatic use of rise and fall, it’s a track with layers and twists.

The video, inspired by the classic fairy tale Little Red Robin Hood, was shot in an old cider mill, a wasteland, a forest, and other locations in Normandy. You can give it a watch below.
