Jossle is a Cork, Ireland-raised, London-based pop artist who has just hit my radar through the first single release from his upcoming second EP Homebase.

Mother sees Jossle team up with Cork-based Decarteret and together they deliver jazzy, upbeat and unexpected tale of family relationships. Things start slow and stripped-back before arriving at a steady, nod-inducing groove. The pair’s vocals work beautifully together and Jossle’s lyrics have a subtle, captivating complexity.
There’s a rawness to the track introduced by the process of its creation. Jossle composed with an acoustic guitar and stripped everything back for the recording process, resulting in a song that feels immediate and intimate.
Homebase is set for release in May and you can check out Mother, and its b-side admit, below.
