British musician Matthew Bannister makes up The Beautiful Fear, a project that combines his production and musicianship skills well.

Matthew describes Land Of Never Mind as a post apocalyptic lullaby, and it’s a surprisingly apt title for this piece of work. It’s a bit of a slow burner, starting out with some glorious synth melodies, set nicely alongside an up-tempo drum beat. The main chord sequence used on the synths is simple yet effective, sounding really beautiful at times. Matthew’s vocals are a dream too, drifting through the music in lovely style. Some pretty guitar arpeggios appear later on, adding even more layers into this haunting piece of music.
