Brisbane, Australia-based alternative rock band Liposuction first appeared on this blog last Spring when they burst onto our radar through their debut single She Hz.

Now they’re back with their final single ahead of the release of their upcoming EP Octopussy. Pour Some Dollars On Me reflects on past financial decisions and bemoans the facts that we can’t live extravagantly forever. Its arrangement is suitably rich, with an edgy pop-punk instrumental, and characterful and expressive vocals. Its stomping, energetic style will have you shaking off your poverty.
Liposuction are frontwoman, songwriter, producer, guitarist and synth player Sunday Hunter, bassist Shannon Kilcoyne, and drummer James Hurwood. Pour Some Dollars On Me was recorded by Blair Condon at Brisbane Recording Studio, and was mixed and mastered by Jason Milhouse at Recordworks Studios.
