Clauds is a electronica and synth pop artist based in Perth, Australia who has just come to my attention through her latest single release, Atomic.

I was immediately struck by the uniqueness of Atomic. Opening quiet and ambient, Clauds sets the scene nicely before a low, electronic groove comes in. Her vocal delivery is powerfully understated during a simmering verse before things climb nicely to the mushroom cloud that is the track’s chorus. From there, Atomic offers us plenty of interesting twists and turns. It’s beautifully refreshing.

A solo artist in every sense of the word, Clauds writes her own music, and composes all the instrumentals. She truly is a talent.
