Thea Alien is a Berlin, Germany-based songwriter who has just come to my attention through the release of her latest single, careless.

Born in Magdeburg, Germany into a family of artists, Thea has been creative since a young age. She writes lyrics based on the everyday, drawing deeper meaning from the seemingly trivial, greatly inspired by her now home of Berlin.

Her new single careless is at once an upbeat one that combines pop, rap and R&B, and something a little more menacing. The idea of utopia often goes hand in hand with dystopia and Thea draws this out in careless. Alongside the astute storytelling is a musical composition that is a pure earworm. It really is the total package.
