New Music: Wild Horse – Keep On Moving Up

Brighton-based indie pop band Wild Horse first came to my attention earlier this year thanks to their banger Wednesday Night Distractions. Now they’re back with a follow up.

While Wednesday Night Distractions dwelled on the themes of nights out and friends with benefits, Wild Horse’s new single Keep On Moving Up turns its attention to work and the daily grind. Despite the subject matter, the track maintains the upbeat sound that we know and love from the band, introducing some move-inducing funk and spadefuls of soul. A catchy chorus urges us to sing along. It’s an anthem for anyone who feels like their suffocating in their career.

Keep On Moving Up was written by the band’s frontman Jack Baldwin and was produced by Matt Leppanen and Wild Horse. It was recorded at The Animal Farm studio in London. You can check it out below.
