Teddy Cosmo is a New York City, USA-based indie rock musician who has just caught my attention through his latest single release. A track about struggling to prove oneself, it’s called Wakeup Call.

Living with Cerebral Palsy, Teddy feels he has more to prove than most. He is also a man on a mission, trying to make the world more accessible for disabled people such as him. In that way, his condition acts as both a challenge and a motivation, and it gives his music a degree of depth.
Teddy’s brand of rock is inspired by the likes of Nirvana, Elliott Smith and Green Day, and his new track Wakeup Call brings a certain brightness to the genre known for its nihilism. An anthemic chorus has a melody that will plant itself firmly in your head while a cathartic bridge leaves it all out there.
Wakeup Call was recorded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by Chris Wood. You can give it a listen below.
