British Columbia, Canada-based pop-rock singer songwriter Darrian Gerard has been featuring on these pages since 2021 and we rarely miss a chance to share her music.

Darrian is a woman of many talents. She learned guitar at seven years old, and since then has become a multi-instrumentalist. If that wasn’t enough, she also writes, records and produces all her own music from her home studio.

Her latest single Villain turns her attention inward and takes the listener on a voyage of self-discovery. It turns the “villain” narrative on its head, exploring the idea that sometimes you have to be the bad guy when the alternative is pleasing everyone but yourself, and delivers it all through a raw and punchy punk-pop arrangement where her vocals shine.
