Lovers Game sees YDEA take things in the anthemic direction, delivering some powerful pop that explores her difficulties in romance and own internal blockers. Ultimately, its message is one of self-love and it’s delivered through a stripped-back and intimate arrangement that slowly grows into some cinematic pop during its vibrant chorus. At its centre is YDEA’s expressive vocals that will have you feeling every note.
