The bedroom pop movement has really taken off in recent years, with Tonia being my latest discovery from the genre.

What Have I Become? is my first introduction to Tonia’s work, but I’m sure it won’t be my last! It’s certainly a poppy track, but I also felt there were elements of indie-pop mixed in too, making for a really cool sound. The beat is bouncy and steady, as the bass and guitar motifs trail along in fantastic way. The music sounds expertly produced too, although the focal point remains squarely fixed on Tonia’s stunning vocal lines, adding a great depth of tone into the tune.
