Quiet, The Art are an Edinburgh-based post rock and shoegaze duo who have just come to my attention through their latest single release, Monochrome.

With a growing reputation of having a sound that is indefinable, Monochrome solidifies this through its beautifully unique composition. It’s a track that opens low and lingering. The instrumental is barely there as soft and expressive vocals deliver poetic lyrics. As it progresses, everything builds. We get electronic, ecclesiastical layers, rising passion and then, finally, an explosion of metallic rock.

Quiet, The Art are true innovators and I can’t wait to get better acquainted with their world.
