Garrow Hill is a heavy rock band based right here in York who have featured on this blog a few times before. Yet, it’s been a couple of years since we last shared their music.

That’s all now changed thankfully with the release of their new single Call To The Void. It’s a bit of a departure from their usual sound, bringing in intimate elements and a sense of the laidback. What catches the ear is its layers of vocals, rich orchestration, and raw, confessional lyrics that touch on weighty topics such as impulsive thoughts and suicidal feelings.

Garrow Hill is led by Stewart King and P.G. Branton, life-long friends and musical collaborators for over 32 years. You can check out the atmospheric video for Call to the Void, full of some familiar sights, below.
