Based in Innsbruck, Austria, LLeow is a rock artist who has just come to my attention thanks to her latest track, Sacrifice.

Sacrifice is LLeow’s second single, after her debut 1995 got her on the musical map. It sees her eschewing gender norms, offering a chance for women to break through the boundaries that society places around them through a cathartic and grungy number that starts brooding and introspective before exploding into noisy life with a mix of rock and electronica.

LLeow knows plenty about breaking conventions. She’s just kicked off a career in music in her 40s and is very much walking the talk. As she launches her own attempt to expand her world, she hopes that her music will encourage others to do the same.
