By Jane Howkins

You recently released a new track called 2 Roads. What can you tell us about the song?

2 Roads started with an initial idea about anxiety and overthinking. Life is a journey, it can be difficult but also amazing. 2 Roads is about uncertainty, overthinking and the feeling of being pulled in different directions.

How has the reception to 2 Roads been so far, and where can it be purchased?

I am so thankful for all the support for 2 Roads so far! Thank you to everyone who has listened to the track. It can be streamed on all music streaming platforms: Spotify, Apple Music and also on YouTube.

You collaborated with Ian Curnow on the track. How did that come about? Will you work together again?

It was amazing to write 2 Roads with Ian, we wanted to create a track that is both cinematic and ethereal. We started working on the chords and the initial verse melody. The track really started to develop and the idea of 2 Roads came about. Ian and I have been working on some more music, more tracks are on the way for sure!

Do you have any more singles planned for the near future?

Yes, lots of music on the way! I will also be releasing some dance music too, which I’m very excited about.

Are there any plans to release a full length album or an EP anytime soon?

Definitely! I have been working on a whole portfolio of music and I’m really looking forward to releasing all the tracks, it’s been a journey and I’m really happy with where the project is going.

You’re also a DJ, model and dancer. How do you fit it all in? Do you have any other projects on the go at the moment?

Yes, it’s a super busy time haha! I love working in the creative industries, I have always been in the arts, initially working as a commercial dancer and model and then going onto DJing and music. I’m very excited to continue developing as an artist. I have been working on a project which will bring my DJing, singing, writing and dancing together, which I’m very excited about!

Your music has an alt-pop sound. What/who are you most influenced by? What have you been listening to recently?

I am inspired by so many artists, Kate Bush, Florence + The Machine, Banks, to name a few. Also, Christine and the Queens and Björk. I am also inspired by art, theatre, film, dance and fashion.

Do you have anything else exciting coming up over the next few months?

I have many more tracks on the way and I will be launching my live set very soon! I’m looking forward to more DJ sets in both London and internationally, I can’t wait for the summer and sunshine!

Do you have any tour dates lined up for the UK?

I will be performing my live set, starting in London and then hopefully a tour soon! It’s been great working on the live side of my project and I’m looking forward to getting on stage and performing the tracks live.

Any last words for the fans?

Thank you so much to everyone who has listened to my music so far, thank you for being part of my journey. I have a lot more music on the way, follow me on Instagram & TikTok (@flossjordanmusic) for more updates and links to my music!
