It was in September last year that Newcastle-based singer songwriter Hannah Robinson first appeared on this blog through her track Rosie. Now she’s back with a new reflective one.

In I’m Sorry I Let You Down, Hannah pays tribute to those late night thoughts that keep you awake. Driven by anxiety, you dwell on small mistakes from the day before. If this feels relatable, her new track is for you. Its instrumental combines a certain dreaminess with some melancholic shoegaze while her expressive vocals utterly seduce you. A memorable chorus makes it a stand out.
It’s another strong offering from Hannah and her band, who have been making an impression on the Newcastle scene, including Maximo Park’s Paul Smith, who curated them to play his stage at Generator Live. It feels only a matter of time before the rest of the country are on board.
I’m Sorry I Let You Down is out now and you can check it out below.
