Alba James is a Stockholm, Sweden-based singer songwriter who has been featuring on our blog since 2022. Her latest single You Belong To Me tells a yearning story of wanting a lover to return.

You Belong To Me straddles the line between romance and obsession channelling the dark side of the singer songwriter genre in a similar way to Agnes Obel. Alba’s vocals are beautifully delicate and lilting, backed by an acoustic instrumental with plenty of pleasing textures. A memorable chorus brings with it a sense of self-doubt and the need of affirmation, and the end is strikingly dramatic. It’s a beautifully put-together track.

The track was recorded, mixed and mastered at the Nordic Sound Lab studios in Skara, Sweden. It’s out now and you can check out its intimate video below.
