New York, USA-based acoustic folk singer songwriter Randy Beth has featured on our blog a few times, and now she’s back with her latest single, wilted flowers.
By Graeme Smith
Wilted flowers was written in the wake of loss for Randy, and she uses the track to find the light at the other side of the darkness. It beautifully captures this journey through a slowly simmering electro pop instrumental. A stripped-back first verse gives plenty of space to her emotional vocals before things build to a glowing, image-laden chorus.
Randy has recently played her debut live show at Rockwood Music Hall and now has five singles out in the world. She’s definitely proving herself to be one to watch, and I’ll be keeping a keen eye out for more of her music.
Wilted flowers was produced by TK the Architect and recorded at Lucky Cat Studios. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
