Edinburgh’s Marky Wildtype takes us on a rollercoaster with new single Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the fourth single from Marky Wildtype‘s upcoming album If Destroyed Still True and the third track of his that we’ve shared on our pages.

By Graeme Smith

A seasoned professional on the band circuit, Marky has been recording as a solo artist for the past couple of years. It’s fair to say he’s found the transition a little tumultuous, and much of that story appears on If Destroyed Still True. A fully DIY project, Marky wrote, arranged, performed, recorded, mixed and mastered his new album pretty much solo.

Tomorrow acts as its emotional focal point, and is an rollercoaster of a journey. Opening big and bold with some urgent riffs and clashing drums, things settle down into a stripped-back and vulnerable verse. Just as we’re lulled into a false sense of security, the arrangement picks back up with a pleading chorus.

The single is out now and you can check it out below.
