Growing Up is a modern folk song, sounding absolutely beautiful throughout. The tempo is slow and steady, yet the music manages to convey the lyrical themes well. It’s a song written about Bethany’s first child, and you can really feel the love and joy in the lyrics as she weaves her gorgeous vocals in and out of the music. In terms of the instrumentation, a lovely piano and guitar melody combine nicely, with some sumptuous strings appearing faintly in the background, accentuating the vocals perfectly.
