The Berlin, Germany-based Finnish artist and composer first featured on this blog last summer through his critique of material culture, Sopranino.
Returning to our pages with his new single and video Goodbye Ah, we are immediately reminded of just what a unique sound he has. A stripped-back piano melody creates the early atmosphere before ethereal vocals float in. Gentle and soulful, they provide a balm as the instrumental arrangement becomes more severe. Things then build to a heady finish.
Goodbye Ah will feature on Jonsjooel’s upcoming EP Voices Of A First Day, set for release on Kieku Records in the autumn. The single is out now and you can check out its video below.
