Sunflower Thieves are Amy Illingworth and Lily Sturt-Bolshaw. They’ve received backing from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio X yet we have somehow never featured them before on this blog before.

Their new track How Was America explores the emotion of being in a tumultuous friendship, inspired by Lily’s real experience of being ghosted by a friend. Beautifully ambient, emotional vocals tell a captivating story that doesn’t hold back. As things progress, the instrumental builds, finally arriving at a cinematic climax.

How Was America is out now and you can check it out below.
