Oliver Pinder is a British singer songwriter from Bradford who has somehow never appeared on our blog before. That’s now changed thanks to his new single never ever.

Though new to us, Oliver has been featured by CLASH, and has been played by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music.

His new single never ever is about saying goodbye to an abusive relationship. Opening with some gentle, introspective electronica, the track quickly finds a melancholic rock groove. A semi-rapped pre-chorus gives way to a cathartic, discordant chorus. It’s all so beautifully textured and the emotion of the track’s story is brought vividly to life through Oliver’s vocals and lyrics.

Oliver has a UK tour scheduled for November, as well as dates in Leeds and Hull coming up soon. Full details of upcoming gigs can be found here.

Never ever was recorded in Hull with James Kenosha. It’s out now and you can check it out below.
