Berlin electronica duo Cosmoliner team up with singer Gianna to deliver some empathetic disco.
By Graeme Smith
Cosmoliner are multi-instrumentalist Julius, and bassist, synth player, arranger and lyricist Alexander. The pair of lifelong friends are inspired by the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Doors, as well as ’80s pop.
Their new single Beat the Machine is from album of the same name and features session singer Gianna on vocals. Opening with a bold disco beat, it’s the kind of track that instantly gets you moving. Electronic textures keep things interesting as the composition unfolds and Gianna’s soulful vocals prove to be the icing on the cake. She delivers lyrics about reclaiming your humanity in an increasingly digital world.
The album Beat The Machine is out now and you can check out its title track below.
