No stranger to this blog, Jodi’s music has featured on these pages several times before, going back to 2022.

Her latest single and video Full Moon Rise celebrates the night, and laments how much we’ve lost through light pollution. It sees Jodi writing for harmonium for the first time and the result is a track that’s full of exotic atmosphere. Accompanying her is booming percussion and plenty of eerie textures. As ever with Jodi’s music, it’s perfectly indefinable.

The track is the third song released from Jodi’s Nocturne album. It was recorded in the immersive sound of Dolby Atmos with John Weston at Futura Productions.

Its hypnotic, colourful video is a collaboration with director and cinematographer Noah Dickinson and John Weston. Choreography comes from Susi Mendler and dancer Elisa Trujillo. The track is out now and you can check out its video below.
