York-raised Harrison Rimmer‘s latest single introduces his upcoming second album, Cheaper Than Therapy.
By Graeme Smith
A folk punk singer-songwriter from York and now based in Fleetwood, we’ve been covering Harrison’s music on our blog since 2018.
His latest track is Tough Love, the first single release from his upcoming second album Cheaper Than Therapy. It draws inspiration from the ’80s power ballads of Phil Collins and Celine Dion while maintaining his rock sensibilities.
Opening with some echoing, pensive riffs, we are quickly re-introduced to Harrison’s distinct vocals. A simmering first verse gives way to a vibrant, punchy chorus that gives us edge and empathy in equal measure, telling a story about getting an extra push to get help.
Tough Love is out now and will be launched at the Compass Café in Blackpool this Saturday 27 July 2024. You can check it out below.
