It’s been a long time since we last shared Janet Devlin’s music, so Country Singer has been well worth the wait!

By Jane Howkins

The Irish singer-songwriter has changed her sound somewhat, and you can probably guess which direction she’s gone in from the title of Country Singer. She’s really managed to capture the magic of the genre though, turning it into a catchy, upbeat pop song. The guitars have that typical country sound, running through the piece in lovely style against the piano and rhythm section, as Janet sings over the top, really putting her all into the tune. Her unique vocal style suits the music surprising well too!
