Adam’5 hits our radar through his raw and experimental new track, friends.
By Graeme Smith
A pioneering artist based in Paris, France, adam’5 mixes hyperpop with drill, alternative rock and pop to create his music. He’s just come to my attention for the first time thanks to his latest track, friends.
A story exploring the difficulty of maintaining long-lasting relationships when struggling with hyper-sexuality and fear of genuine connection, it’s a raw and vulnerable number. Opening with an experimental, spoken word intro, we quickly get into the track proper. Soulful vocals are paired with electronic textures while the lyrics leave it all out there. There is power in its honesty.
Friends was written, produced, mixed and mastered by adam’5. It’s out now and you can check it out below.
