Southern Germany-based singer songwriter Jakob Longfield‘s latest track Morning Light was inspired by a spiritual journey across the Alps.

It was in the summer of last year in which the journey took place, a time that Jakob describes as “one of the most intense and happiest times” of his life. The track beautifully captures the sentiment, opening with some peaceful ambience before unfolding into a hopeful story told by soulful vocals.

Joining Jakob on the track is Finn, Prince of Whales who co-wrote and co-created both Morning Light and the EP on which it features, Of Daydreams And Letting Go. The EP is out now.

Morning Light proves a wonderful introduction for us to an artist who wears his heart on his sleeve, and has a beautiful sound. I look forward to hearing more from him. You can listen to the track below.
