Though new to us, The Zangwills are already making an impression on the UK scene. The video for their track Judas on The Dancefloor, produced by the Game of Thrones actor Maisie Williams, won the award for Best International Music Video at the Focus Wales Film Festival.

It was shot at the Moth Club, Hackney, a venue to which the band will be returning when they set off on a full UK tour in November. The tour also includes a stop off at Leeds’ Hyde Park Book Club on 9 November.

Their latest single, Collision is a brooding affair. A looping, catchy guitar melody starts things off before driving drums join in, and soulful vocals give us a story full of longing. They perfectly capture the feeling of new, uncertain love, particular during a memorable chorus that will lodge itself firmly in your head.

Collision was recorded in The Verve’s Si Jones’s attic studio and was produced by Sam Davies. Additional mixing and mastering comes from Ben Booker. The track is out now and you can give it a listen below.
