Earlier this year, I shared the track and video S B Butler by Connecticut, USA-based post-pop artist Ellery Twining. I was so taken by his unique sound, I thought I’d share its follow up, Dusty Springfield’s Record Collection.

A sense of nostalgia permeates through all that Ellery does and, of course, Dusty Springfield’s Record Collection is no exception, combining the raw folk rock of the ’60s with an experimental, modern edge. Ellery’s vocal delivery is very distinctive, almost sung, almost spoken word, and always brimming with storytelling. The lyrics are based on the true story of Ellery’s time at The Mystic Disc record store that procured the titular collection.
