Australia’s Mezz Coleman and UK producer Champion Fever have teamed up for a dance remix of her alt-pop track, Much More Than This.

Mezz and Steve Baker (aka Champion Fever) have the comedians Joe Wilkinson and David Earl to thank for this remix. Both artists are fans of their podcast, Chatabix, and it was when Mezz sent a track for them to play on it that Steve discovered her music.

A dance track is something from a departure from Mezz’s typical style, but the genre works well for this remix. Her soaring vocals and poetic lyrics provide some weight and substance to Steve’s airy take. There’s a soulfulness to it all and I was gripped by its image-laden story of a toxic relationship.
