Northern songstress Daisy Gill releases catchy new single

A former contestant on The Voice UK, Liverpool-based singer songwriter Daisy Gill appears on our blog for the first time through her new single, Mess Around.

As well as being mentored by the legendary Sir Tom Jones on The Voice, Daisy has also caught the attention of BBC Radio 6 Music and Jamie Cullum, and performed at The Royal Albert Hall, the main stage of Liverpool Pride, and at Glastonbury.

As such, I feel a little late to the party with Daisy’s music, but her new single Mess Around is a case of better late than never. It’s pop in the vein of Dua Lipa with a striking bass groove, expressive vocals and a plenty of catchiness. Its lyrics tell a tale of twisted love and is capped nicely by a memorable chorus.

Mess Around was self-recorded and produced by Daisy. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
