An artist and producer from South London, Cheena Monsoon likes the blend genre to create a sound that’s beautifully unique. He’s just come to my attention thanks to his new track and video, Ace Queen.

Growing up inspired by David Bowie and The Strokes, as well as hip hop and electronica, Cheena Monsoon’s sound is an innovative one. Ace Queen demonstrates this well while giving us a delicate, heartfelt love story. Ghostly vocals pair with dreamy piano and light percussion in a way that’s utterly mesmerising.
Ace Queen will appear on Cheena’s debut album Make Me Lighter, set for release in the autumn. The track was recorded in his home studio and was self-produced. It’s out now and you can check out its intimate video below.
