Eruption Artistique and The Smackbar bring back ’60s psychedelia with new single

“Warholian art collective” Eruption Artistique return to our pages, bringing The Smackbar along for the ride, with new single, HIHA The Acid Alpaca.

By Graeme Smith

Made up of musicians, filmmakers, photographers and actors, the collective hailing from Rotterdam in The Netherlands first featured on our blog at the end of last year when I was struck by their boundary-pushing rock and roll track and video Ball&Chain. That track was a team up with The Smackbar too.

So, HIHA The Acid Alpaca picks up very much where Ball&Chain left off. Psychedelic storytelling meets dreamy electro-acoustic rock in a composition that fully embraces the spirit of the ’60s, channelling influences such as Velvet Underground and The Doors, as well as more recent acts like The Dandy Warhols.

HIHA The Acid Alpaca was recorded, mixed and mastered at Charlatan studio in Rotterdam by Emil. You can give it a listen below.
