Brooklyn, USA-based experimental R&B artist Paul Babe celebrates Friday the 13th with his new video.

It was in 2020 that we last featured Paul’s work. At the time, he described himself as hiding in a forest getting stronger “like Voldemort.” Well, here we are four years later and it’s time for him to take over the wizarding world once again.

Wizard is an apt description, as Paul makes magic with his music. His new video gives us a double dose, combining Poley Bonaparte (Your Feeling) and Cowin’ On, both tracks that will feature on his upcoming debut album. The former is striking in its heart-wrenching lyrics, beautifully emoted by Paul’s vocals. The latter is a sultry, meditative coda.

In honour of Friday the 13th, the video draws on ghoulish themes of stalking and voyeurism to tell a claustrophobic tale. You can check it out below.
