York-based pop artist Bennett Eliott debuts on our blog with his fresh take on modern dating, You’re Not The One.

Opening dark and experimental, we get the sense straight away that Bennett is bringing something new to the pop genre. Yet, there’s plenty familiar about it too. Bennett’s vocals are beautifully soulful in the verse, and we get some vibrant electronica in the chorus. In a world of love songs, it’s an ode to knowing that you’re not in love, and being fine with that.

I always love sharing new artists from York on this blog, and Bennett is the latest proof of the quality and diversity of our city’s scene.
