3 AM Revelations is Leeroy’s 13th album and pays tribute to the time of day when he find himself at his most creative and introspective. Each of its ten tracks was recorded in his home studio in Victoria.

Throughout the album, Leeroy treats us to storytelling lyrics and classic song writing. His experience and talent as a musician is on display right from punchy opener Mediocrity Pill to reluctantly hopeful acoustic closer It’s Gonna Be Alright (Someday).

The album includes two of Leeroy’s singles, Watermelon Pink, which was released over the summer, and Count To Ten, a track penned by Dennis Ellsworth. Together they showcase Leeroy’s range, giving us laidback liveliness and emotional country rock respectively.

Aside from the singles, other highlights include the folksy These Days, the expansive and rousing Alberta Stars, the melancholic meditation Life’s A Drag (When You Are All Messed Up) and the bluesy, narrative rich, Lou Reed-esque 68 Dodge Dart.

Leeroy Stagger’s new album is a triumph. It sticks to familiar country rock themes while elevating them with a personal touch and plenty of instrumental variation. There are moments of swagger tempered by moments of self-doubt that seem to reflect the whole range of human experience.

3 AM Revelations is out now via Tonic Records, available on all major streaming platforms and to buy on vinyl or as a digital download from Leeroy’s website. You can give it a listen below.
