Leeds-based rock band KOYO return from a four year hiatus with new single and video, Electric Eel.

KOYO are a local act that used to grace our pages regularly, so they have certainly been missed during their hiatus. In July, Jane shared news of their double release, La Cucaracha and Mechanical Bull, and now I’m pleased to be posting about their latest track and video, Electric Eel.

The track brings the rock swagger that we love from the band, with edgy, repeating riffs, melancholic vocals and plenty of attitude. Just as we start to get to grips with it all, the track takes a dreamy twist as it arrives at its memorable chorus.

KOYO’s third album Oneism, which will feature all three of the aforementioned tracks, is set for release 1 November 2024.
