Nick Howe is responsible for one of my favourite tracks and videos I’ve posted on this blog, but it’s been a while since we shared anything from him.

In 2020, the London-based singer songwriter released It Belongs To Her. A beautiful track in its own right, its innovative video, which featured dancers from around the world, really made it stand out to me.

That same year, Jane also shared his track Give Me A Reason, but since then we’ve lost touch with his career. Now, that’s all changed thanks to his latest release, Hanging By A Thread.

The new track is a melancholic and passionate wonder. It speaks of the end of a relationship with some strong narrative in its lyrics and the emotion of it all is brought to life through Nick’s expressive vocals and a folktronic instrumental that starts delicate and ramps up. I was hooked.
