I’ve always been enamoured by Estella’s lyrics and her new single is no exception. With strong storytelling and raw emotion, she breaks down a breakup that follows a betrayal. There’s some striking wordplay in stripped-back verse before things become jazzy and defiant in the chorus. Just as you think it’s safe to breathe we get a quick-fire verse that takes no prisoners.
